chiller ??

i just got a 1-10 chiller for my a.p 24,can this sit on the floor with carpet,also they say in manual to leave a foot of space all around chiller,this isnt going to work,unless i want it in the middle of the floor,iwa gonna put it next to aquarium stand front facing out and back a few inches from wall,this ok??

I have my JBJ 1/10 chiller sitting on the carpetted floor next to the stand and 10" away from the wall in the back. I would not recomend just a few inches from the wall. I moved my tank away from the wall to match the chiller.

I run my chiller under my stand and have not had anyproblems with it. Also it only turns on a few times a day so thats probibly why there are no problems b/c it's not running that hard.
