My little frag setup

I have my main display in the house while I have the sump and frag system in my air conditioned garage.

The system is 2x30g breeders. I use a dual 250w galaxy electronic sunlight supply ballast. For the tank shown I use a sunlight supply lumanmax 3 reflector and a reeflux 12k single ended bulb. For the other 30g tank I will be setting up a luminarc mini and a 10k xm bulb.

For flow I have the return which is teed off my main display and these two frag tanks is a super dart ballvalved back. Under the eggcrate I have 2 maxijet 1200s with the algaefree mod making them each 2000gph angled so that no detritus will accumulate on the bottom.

I currently dose bionic 2 part but in the next week will be setting up a geo 618 calcium reactor.

Can you cram two 250's under each tank? ;) If you could get the height up some you could get better coverage though...and you could still add another 250 :) lol

I use frag plugs from oceanwonders from ebay. They have the best prices and the best overall plugs.

Nice setup...!!!!! How do you like the 250watt MHs over the 30 breeders..?? I am debating between a 30 or 40 breeder and then the lighting... I have a good deal on a used 150watt HQI so I'm debating on starting with that and adding another 150watt MH later down the road...

The flow is with two maxijet mods on the bottom of each frag tank and the return.

This makes it so detritus will not settle and build up on the bottom. I then have about 400gph from the return to each tank.

I will post new pictures later. I now have one luminarc reflector over each tank and the calcium reactor is up and running.

Have you stocked the other 30g yet?
You said you were using 12k and 10k, and you seem to have started with the 12k, I first thought you would begin under 10k for faster growth then move them over to 12k (have a alternating system for both tank stock)
