Cleaning chiller??

I bought a used chiller today and i need to know how to clean it properly.
I inserted my garden hose through the intake and let it run full blast for a minute and then full blast through the output. As i did this a bunch of detritus came out. I continued the rinsing, alternating between input and output till no more gunk came out, however i feel that theres only so much this method can clean off.
Whats the best way to clean the inside of the chiller?

Not sure on this one... Might want to some how fill it with un-dilluted vinager (no water). and let sit for 24hrs. I know this does the job on pump and other equip. Plus it would be smart if nothing more than to kill any bugs that may be in it from the other owners tank. (if he had any???)
