I just picked up a new humma humma trigger. It looks great, and started eating right away.
The only thing is. I have seen ich in the lfs systems before. Should I treat for anything while he is in QT? If so what should I use (copper/ hypo)? From my understanding MI can host a fish without any signs, and I don't want to risk it in my DT. Thanks in advance.

I have never once purchased a fish that did not have a parasite infection show up in a week or two. It seems to be unavoidalbe. One full month of quarantine with hypo is 100% effective and harmless to the fish. Since I have been doing that, parasites have not been an issue. Just avoid the temptation to put the fish in the DT early.

Thanks.
I am going to keep him in for six weeks to be on the safe side. I'm kind of hoping something shows up so I can treat and be done.

stay on top of the PH level during hypo. It tends to go down quickly without a buffer. good luck.
