I think that is expanded, looks like Sinularia.

nice ric's... and that green nephea, i think... kool pixs... how did u keep the pipe organ coral alive (first pix), those usually don't do to well, tends to die off after so many months... way to go...

Thx guys!

The green Sinularia is indeed a bit less green when fully expanded....

I've only had the Pipe Organ for about six weeks. It went through a bad patch about 1-1/2 weeks ago when it wasn't fully expanding...just after I stopped using Coral Frenzy. I've started using it again, and it's looking much better, and growing babies again. Obviously that's just anecdotal evidence, and it may be due to other factors, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed :)

What are you using for lighting?

Everything but the Ric rock is under a 250W 14K Hamilton Reefsun in my 40G breeder, until I move them to my display tank. The Ric's under 440W of VHOs (I forget the mix, but it's going to be changed soon anyway).

Well I stopped using Coral Frenzy coz I noticed an outbreak of Aiptasia...and one week later, the Tubipora/Pipe Organ looks just as good as it did...so there's a big ball of useless non-anecdotal evidence :)

Can we get a full tank shot?

lancer99

crabs,

I'm in the process of migrating most of these from my 40G "holding" tank to my 75G display tank, so it's not much to look at right now. I'll post an FTS once everything is in there.

That's Briareum asbestinum, an encrusting gorgonian. When the polyps are closed, you can see that it has thick branches. But when they're expanded, it looks a lot like star polyps.

Four is a species of Lobophytum (finger leather/devil's hand) and the last one is Neon green Sinularia.

I too have some green sinularia and it open to about a foot in diameter now and it doesn't lose any color when expanded. It seemed to when it was small, but now that it is so big it doesn't.

Yup, phishybusiness...good memory blide :)

But I'm having a problem with it, about to post in the Corallimorpharians forum.

Update...everything has been in the tank for about a month.

Coralline is going everywhere.

Ignore the ugly grey 'fuge pump and Bakpak pump....it's all gonna be replaced by a sump/fuge tomorrow.
