Wow How clear overnight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey First off thanks to everyone who helped me out with the sump probelm . I am stll worried about it flooding but they will go away with time.

Anyway just from running it overnight my tank is clear as a anything. In my sump I have only the sock with chaeto I am still waitng for my skimmer it was shipped Friday .NOw my question is should I put the sponge back on the sump between the intake and outake Because pieces of the chaeto keep going through the egg crate and into my tank not sure if that is ok.

Went to the pet store got myself a flaming Angel my kids picked him out.
So now I have 5 turbo snails 1 clown fish, and now a flaming angel .

I asked again about a cleanup crew the lfs said wait .

But thanks again everyone

I went to order the durso standpipe can someone tell me where it goes in the tank then hangs over or what It says to measure the size of my tank

The durso stand pipe that I have fits in the overflow on the back of the tank. Is your tank drilled in the bottom or do you have external overflows?

Unplug your return pump, stand back and see what happens. If you did everything correctly then you shouldn't have a flood.

I am not tha concerned about the water going in to the sump I am worried about the water going back to the tankn. As We all know there is more in the sump then the tank can handle. I guess it is a newbie thing?

As I mentioned I keep hearing the gurgling noise so I am afraid one too many and It is going to stop coming out and here comes all the retur

It sounds like you do not have your sump set up correctly then. You need to limit the amount of water available to the return pump with baffles. If you somehow loose the water feed to the sump then you are in for a flood. If I was you I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that.
