Vinegar-Water Mix?

I want to clean my skimmer and I was told its best to use Vinegar but how much water to it?

Do I rinse it with RO water?

50/50 i use ro.

I USE 50/50. i use tap

50/50 works, I also use tap water and never had any problem, just make sure you don't get your tap water into your tank.

I use about 3 gallons of tap and a quart of white vinegar and let it run for a couple hours. I use warm water to clean lipids off the skimmer surfaces. Rinse it thoroughly and toss it back in the tank.

I use pure white vinegar, no real reason not to. I save the used stuff in and re-use it (I use a bunch) until its effectiveness declines.

Personally I would use 50/50 mix to clean and straight RO to rinse. The tap water around here is pretty bad.
