How many keep a rabbitfish and how many has observed non-reef safe behaviors with them? Also please list which one you keep.

I have a Foxface Lo who is a model citizen... his best friend at the moment is my red manderin which I find a bit weird but as for 'anti reef' behaviours he has none. Loves to eat his nori and is a big guts! I have soft coral, zoas and lps.

The only thing he has done that dissapointed me was to eat ALL the macroalgae I was cultivating on my liverock. Oh well that's what I have a fuge for!!

I had a Foxface for almost 2 years and he never bothered any corals. I had Zoas, Hammers, Frogspawn, Torch, Galaxea, Alveopora, SPS, Leather and Clams.

We've had our foxface lo in our 125 for the last two years. The only thing he's eaten or picked at is our "fleshier" brains. Everything else he's left alone.

I have a onespot that hasn't touched any corals. He has a wide variety of macro algae to entertain him though.

My one spot ate zoas until they were completely gone and picked at all of my other non-mushroom soft corals.

I had a orange spot and he ate my leather and zoo's.
Also at pellet food like a pig. but kept loosing weight. I now think he had a worm.

8" orange spot. Doesn't eat anything except black worms, nori like it's candy, mysis...

The only thing he has ever done with any coral is mouth it but not eat it when there is food that has landed on the polyps. Cup coral polyps, GSP, yellow sun polyps.

Mine keeps nipping on clams. I'm going to catch him one of this day. I'll never put any rabbitfish again in my tank.

I have 2 magnificents in a 210, the smaller one (about 2 inches) is perfect does not bother anything. My larger one (about 4 inches) nips at several corals. I have not seen any damage yet, but I have been watching very closely.

Pair of scribbles that ate my zoos. Didn't bother other corals.

I started with one in my softie tank and he ate my open brain, my zoas, an elegance and a few other goodies. So I moved him to my SPS tank! He's been good since, but he eats ALOT of nori!

Make sure you keep him WELL fed!

Foxface Lo - No issues that I know of. Had him for a few years and he's getting BIG and is the pig of the tank.

my live rock is really beautiful with lots of natural macros (indosnesian).

is does seem to be contained but could easily spread and i am a little worried. nothing at the moment seems to be bothered by it, and least 4 diff kinds.

was thinking about a rabbitfish to trim things up or let it grow?

I have a blue stripe rabbit that will eat any kind of macro when it's hungry enough. Loves bubble algae! ... Loves zoos even more! Had to pull out all the zoos. Tasted everything in the tank at first but leaves all alone now that the zoos are gone. Trumpets, favia, hammer, frog spawn, clams and all SPS are safe now.

My fox face lo does eat bubble algae ... since the rabbit taught him to. When a hunk of bubble algae enters the display from the return, like after a sump cleaning, they chase after it like it was free money! Even my YT is getting into the act ... Quite funny really.

... And the zoos were getting aggressive anyway, I saved them in the frag area for another tank. ;)

I have a gold spotted rabbitfish who demolished all of my zoos. he left all sps alone, also didn't touch ricordia or leather. really is hit or miss like alot of things. he is so beautiful and full of personality i really didn't mind losing all my zoo's.

Did you guys get these fish when they were smaller or larger? Heard that can affect what they've already developed a taste for. I was thinking of getting one myself so am very interested.

orange spotted rabbitfish....ate my zoas as fast as a thirsty man drinking water in a desert!! occasionally he'll taste the leathers, obviously not as delicious as his zoa all-u-can-eat buffet.
