55 gallons of saltwater.

Well I got another 55 gallon drum and am going to make up and keep on hand 55 gallons of saltwater. HEre are my questions: Does salt water go bad after time? When I make up the batch of saltwater can I keep making more in the same vat? IE I take 10 gallons out can I immediately add more RO water and salt and start mixing? Or would I be better off using all 55 gallons and then redoing it again?

if you keep it tightly closed and light free, it should keep a long time. some people say keep an airstone in it, other say you don't need too. I always keep a heater and a small powerhead in mine. it has worked well for me for years and years. probably best to use all of it up before adding more, but I never follow that advice. I just top it off and add more salt.

+1. I keep about 45g's premade in my 55g drum. I circulate with a mag3 and a heater keeps the temp at 78 degrees.
