Hey Guys,

My Knop C reactor is acting up and I am getting no Effluent. I even ran it empty with out media and even took out the sponge. The water does circulate inside the column but very little goes in and nothing goes out??. There are no obstructions on the water line going into and out of the reactor.
Can it be an air lock ?? What can I do to fix this problem??

Thanks

how are you feeding the reactor?

have you cleaned the flow valve?

you may need to suck on the effluent tube to get the flow started

I am feeding it directly from my 55g which is positioned above my reactor . I have even removed the valve?? and my lines are clean. I'll try the suction on the effluent to see if it works

if you cant suck water in or blow water out then something is clogged

Well, Just right now, I completely emptied the column. Turned the pump back on, the column did fill up with water from the tank and all the air came out as air bubbles through the efflent line. But as soon as the air bubbles stopped, no water came out of the effluent line??. It almost seems like there is a negative suction created as soon as all of the air comes out ?? What gives ?
