The Reefoptic bulbs were about 10 months old, and it seemed like a could barely get a shimmer out of them anymore. They are probably worth the money, but probably need replaced at 6 months (not bad for a $25 bulb)
After reading Sanjay's article about the Iwasaki Aqua2 I decided to give them a try. I previously used the 150HQI 50,000 Iwasaki on my old system, so i knew that the bulbs were going to be good...However.....
All i can say is, HOLY CRAP! The par is unbelievable. I've only had them on about 10 hours so far, but the color is exactly what I wanted - it's a perfect blueish white and reminds me of when I was swimming in Hawaii.. I'm sold!
