I have the new tank full of tap water to test for leaks etc, and I can't get over how unstable the stand feels. It was wobbly when the tank was empty and now it's just as unstable. By unstable, I mean when I lean against the tank or even just open the glass door below. The entire tank/stand leans back then forward. Not much, but more than I expect and enough that unsecured rocks could fall. Is this something others have noticed? I expected (for the Price) a solid piece of furniture.

No! The tank and stand shouldn't be shifting AT ALL! I wouldn't lean against the tank anyway, but that sounds like an accident waiting to happen. What kind of stand is it? It is a tank stand right?

Are you sure the bottom of the stand and the floor are both flat and level?

I would drain that tank asap,an unlevel or uneven surface can cause your tank to crack and burst without warning in very short order.

Ive heard the same thing also from people who have tech tank stands. You are right though, for the money you could have hired someone to build you a stand to your design and also be much more stronger than the stock oceanic one.

Yeah the tank is level and stand are level. It sways at the points where the legs meet the base. And I mean lean into in the sense of reaching into the tank or cleaning the front glass pane.

Has Oceanic turned to garbage? The silicone in the tank is sloppy too and has large bubbles inbetween the glass and silicone joints.

I noticed that there were a couple of screws not properly countersunk on the bottom of my 70 tech stand - which lead to some wobble. I haven't filled it yet, but I'll keep my eye on it....
