Can the center unit be installed on the end of the tank? I'm thinking maybe more wave.

Do you still need powerheads for extra flow in a SPS dominant tank? 90 gallons.

The bottom ports will be behind the rockwork. Will that lessen the effects of the wave2k?

Are you happy with it?

I used on for about a year on the end of my 120. It produced great flow, but after awhile the noise just got to me. I switched it for a vortech.

Used it for about 6 months, great flow but too loud for the room it was in. I upgraded to 2 Tunze 6201 and have 2 Wave2K(s) I'll be selling.

Ran one for six months and replaced it with a tunze wavebox. The result is far less noise, less maintenance, and less parts to replace for wear. The wavebox is more expensive though.

Save your money. I had one for about 6 months. In the beigining it worked great! I even fine tuned it so it would not make a clicking noise. You have to take the drive belt off when the wavemaker is not in use. After a while the clicking noise started and one day the grear (I'm guessing that that's what it inside, they tell you NEVER to open it), just froze! PIECE OF JUNK!
I have it in my basement collecting dust!
What a waste of hard earned money. I hope that you did not buy one yet.

I bought a used one about six months ago. It was a little noisy at first but once I adjusted the belt correctly it is pretty quiet. I hear other things such as the return pump and water movement over the sound of the wave2k. I would not buy a new one for full price but if you can find a used one for a decent price it might be worth a look.
