i just got a new RK2 and seem to be having some problems. I set up channel 1 for use on my return pump and set it as sump/skimmer, so it can turn off when I press the stand by button. for the "post stand by time" I put 00. When I press the stand by button the channel 1 LED turns off but the pump stays on. Am I setting this up the right way, or am I doing something wrong. BTW i set my stand by time for 10 min. I tried to change other chaneels and it seem to do the same with them all. Also when i go to maually turn off the pump it still stays running. This only seems to be a problem with the sump/skimmer setting. all the other functions work.

This is a problem with some of the lower amp draw pumps. What some people have done is to use a splitter and also put a small light such as a night light also on that channel. Then there is a higher power draw and the pump will turn off. I had to do this with both my pumps on the wavemaker function. I used those flat blue night lights as they are relatively dim and do not give off heat.

Good thing I read this. I couldn't turn off the channels for my Tunze 6025, Rio 50 in my fuge, and my Hydor L35 return pump. Do you think if I combine all three of these pumps into one outlet in my RK2 strip it'll be enough current draw for RK2 to shut them off?

The solution to my problem is to keep channel on and use a digital timer.Kinda of stinks being that any channel can be a timer.Without anything additional.Maybe DA will come out with a new version to correct this problem.
