So for the past few weeks I've been working on a sump for my 28 gallon bowfront. I've got most of it together I'm just waiting on my overflow from aquacrylics.
I've used a ten gallon tank, with three dividers. For the return I'm using a mag 7. I'm also using an instant ocean protein skimmer. Once my overflow comes in I can finally set everything up and make whatever minor adjustments to the design as necessary.
In addition to the return I'm using multiple outlets around the tank for better flow.
I know that a ten gallon is going to be cramped, but hopefully it will work out for me.

I like where your headed with this as i am most likely headed in that direction with my next tank.
two questions, first, will the returns be visible or will the rim of the tank conceal them?
Second, are you incorporating a fuge in your sump? i know the 10 is small to begin with but i was hoping to incorporate on in my 10 and just wondering if it is at all possible.
looks good!

yes, between the 1st and 2nd baffle is where my fuge will be, I have an area of 8x10 in there for the fuge. I don't know if it will work or not, but I'm going to see.
When I test fitted the returns they were mostly visible on the back side, but in the front you can't see them too much.

Lookin good. Just keep in mind that as return flow goes around, it will get less and less as it goes.

Any 10 gal sump with a fuge will only have a 6x10" skimmer/equipment chamber. Thats a problem if you ever want to "spread your wings"

Yeah, I was told that by my LFS. He told me that having the plumbing make a continous loop will help with that. Then there is my choice with a mag-drive 7 pump, I'm sure that will give me enough pressure for good flow.

you could make some pinched pieces of pvc to give some more flow. I dont think that you will get a whole lot out of the mag 7 through all of those outlets.
