they reef safe?
Like any dwarf angel, they are hit or miss, each will have their own personalities, any the same type could be different in terms of being reef safe or not.
Larah, while you can, I suggest taking out the caulerpa, in time it will take over your tank. And it has a habit of going "sexual" and causing issues with your tank. I speak from experience.

She is really pretty! Your rock has also colored up gorgeous, tank looks nice and clean. What kind of sand is that? It's nice and white. Have you gone threw algae issues yet?

Deb,
I have gone through a lot of diatom isues, but things seem to be clearing up with that (fingers crossed)....
I am really happy with my rock. I paid a ton for it, but I t hink it was worth it in the end....
Plus I am wayyyy to vigilant with my tank, I need to let the poor thing rest!
Todd,
If I keep the Calupera trimmed and under control do you think it will it be ok? Or should I move it to the refugium?
I had heard that the feather calupera wasn't as bad....

I would move it to the fuge, that is where I have mine. I find it easier to deal with in the fuge. Plus I have found that keeping the light on 24/7 helps it from going sexual. Mine hasn't had any issue in the 5+ years that I've been keeping it in my fuge. But, many years ago I had it in my display tank, and couldn't get it all out, and it died back on my, made a huge mess.

Alrighty then Todd, I will move the Calupera to the fuge when the light comes in.. The light fixture is on back order and won't be in until Tuesday...

Good deal, think you will be happy that you are doing that. Sure a little bit of it looks cool in the main display, but it turns out to be a huge PITA.

Yeah I am a bit, errrrr, shall we say energetic?
I have also done 5 loads of laundry a load of dishes and vaccumed the whole house!
The sand was just aragonite sand from the LFS....
So far th banded goby , brittle star and myself have kept it looking pretty good... I try not to mess with it, but I just can't help myself! :D

It's called OCD I think we all got it by the sound of things!Todd make up with your ex for a while so she can nurse you back to health Larah, this is the 4th time I am asking you were you GOT YOUR SAND. Do you think you can tell this time or should I try again later when you are chilin out a bit...lol...?

I, too, would recommend moving the caulerpa to the fuge and maybe even consider a UV sterilizer on the return line to the main tank. (Not a necessity, but it can keep the caularpa from jumping back into your main tank.) It's amazing how fast caulerpa can spred if your system is healthy and you aren't hypervigilent.

Sorry sorry Deb!
It's just some plain old aragonite sand I got
from the LFS... It was in a large burlap type bag
with no markings on it... :)
