was thinking about getting one. Anything i need to know about them any special requirements?

They aren't that difficult to keep. They need a lot of light, which you have. I think smaller ones are slightly more difficult, and may require feeding. If you get a crocea, place it in your rockwork instead of the sand.

There are many different types of clams. Make sure you read on what type of clam you get as it may have special requirements. Overall, clams need a lot of light. Make sure your lighting system is adequate. Also make sure that the clam will not outgrow your tank as many clams will grow to different lengths. Some larger than others.

You MUST keep your Alk up.
They will suck your Alk down like you and a beer on a hot afternoon.

I had to go to automated dosing to keep my Alk up and at 9.0
Watch your CA too

They need lots of light, and lots of Alk.

I have a crocea in each of my tanks and they are just wonderful.
