plate coral wont open up

i bought a green short tenacle plate coral about two weeks ago and i cannot get it to open up like it should. i also was wandering about iso water. i have heard people talking about it.

Mine went months before it started to open regularly. It was a few weeks before it would open at night. Mine does better high in the light and flow.

thanks mine will open about half way it looks like but i have him in the sand but he should get plenty of light i have a metal halide
