hi there.
I once heard that actnic lights enhances the growth of coral line, is this true?
If so, is there any reason why i should not keep actnic lights in 24/7??

corraline algae will grow better if you just use a normal lighting period and dose magnesium, get the mag at about 1350.

It doesn't really matter in terms of coralline growth. If it's on when the other bulbs are on the light spectrum emitted by the actinics will still be present. Most people start their actinics earlier than the daylight bulbs and end them later so simulated sunrise/sunset, but it's not critical.
As said above, coralline growth is enhanced more by proper ph/Calcium/Alk/Mag parameters than light spectrum.
