acrylic + glass tank?

hi,nedd input ,Can I make acrylic tank with front glass ,so glass will be put from insight into acrylic frame with some kind of silicon ,I know that zoos and most of public aquariums have acrylic siliconed into sement and onlu pressure of water from insight kips it sealed

Can you do this. yes you can, I'm just not sure why you would want to.

hi,becouse I donot trust plywood ,plus it is easier to glue acrylic ,than doing all the work with plywood

So why not do the entire tank from acrylic?

The idea I am sure is to get the best of both worlds, the scratch resistance of glass and the durability and workability of acrylic.
