What's wrong with my Leather?

From this picture can you tell me what is wrong with my Leather and possibly what is growing in the middle of it?

I had that happen to one of my leathers. I was told that it's because it's not getting enough flow in the middle and and stuff is getting in there and causing an "infection". I also think I had it under lights that were too powerful. I was told with a lesion or something in the middle you are supposed to hit it with a lot of flow.

OK well the concesus on this forum and the other one seems to be water flow. I have adjusted some heads to hit it with more than it already had. We'll see what happens.
