Im about to setup my standard 55 gallon as an SPS dominated tank. I have been trying to decide if I want to go with Metal Halides or T5s. I really like the look of the MHs, but I hear many people say there electric bill goes way up. Does it reall go up that much each month? Will I get the same type of growth and color out of T5s as I would 2 250 DE MHs? I dont want to overkill the tank but I want to do it right and do it once. I would like some suggestions if possible. I was told if I go with T5s i should get the Aquatinics. I am wanting to get the MHs but I am very hesitant that my bill will skyrocket.
