I like that it is the size of an overflow box and turns your tank pretty much into an all-in-one system.

very well built, some excessive weld in a few places but nothing noticiable or performance inhibiting.

fits nicely in the tank, and is super quiet. From alot of reviews i saw the surface skim abilities were called into question but it does surface skim and is even adjustable.

now to the skimmer on the unit, it can be very touchey to get it dialed in but it pulls skim and is adjustable by restricting the amount of air taken in from the air hose.

the rio 2500 driving puts out decent flow considering it pulls double duty runnimg the skimmer and as a return..

my tank has now been up for 3.5 months with this filter and i am fairly happy with it. i paid half of the heavy $300 price tag for this and feel it is worth that much.

cool unit i don't need to worry about plumbing and it is a cool unit i would recommend it. to a newer hobbist.
