Are amphipods bad to have in a reef tank?

It really depends on the kind of amphipods you have and what you're keeping in your tank. There are some that prey on corals BUT they are rarely found in the hobby.

Aren't isopods parasites?

Well I found out one good purpose for having amphipods. I just witnessed my peppermint shrimp grabbing one and dragging it across a rock and then ate it! Bon appetit!
