hi there i wonder if any one can help, my tank seems to have been over taken by tiny anemones they are not glass anemones but like tiny bubble anemones...they are brown in colour.

firstly what are they? and can peper mint shrimp help to rid me of them?

i have used Elimi-aiptas (which i use for my glass anemones)on them but they still seem to come back.

Do you have a pic of them? That my help ID them.

As for the pepermint shrimp, mine has eaten aptasia in my tank. So, it certainly will eat that, but I'm not sure what you have going on in there.

i have tried taken photos of them but as my tank is a bow front they never come out clear enough ( my rock is also quite far back) They really do look like small bubble anemones the biggest being about 2cm across in size.

I had some glass anemones at one time when I first set up my tank. I put in a couple of Peperment Shrimp and no more anemones.

They sound like Majanos to me too. Get rid of them.

Could be Psuedocorynactis-- little guys with brownish columns, clear tentacles with white or orange balls on the tips. The tentacles are super sticky. I actually like those guys (but mine aren't taking over) Repeated applications of Kalk paste and reducing feeding will work.
