My Coral Banded ate a hermit the other day, but hasn't bothered any others since. Not sure how many yours will eat.

Have you ever fed the coral banded shrimp?

Chances are, he was starving. I'd probably eat a hermit crab if I was starving.... kinda like little lobsters... :D

Try giving the shrimp some meaty chunks of food, it will probably leave your hermits alone.

Just about any type of seafood would work. Clams, krill, squid, shrimp, scallop, etc.. You can get frozen foods at the LFS and just break off a small piece and feed it to the shrimp.

Soemthing that can be a little more aggresive like a coral banded shrimp needs a meatier food to keep them happy.

in lwaxman's defense.... I had a coral banded shrimp once... my Hawkfish ate it! :O and I know the hawkfish was well fed. Sometimes animals just think.... hey... I bet that would taste good... and they eat it. :D Nature.

Brine has very little nutritional value.
Try mysis, the remaining crabs will get the scraps also.
Even chunk of formula 2.

though they may love it, it has like zero nutritional value...
There are no broilers in the ocean... raw is best..........
