Already installed a used RO system I got from craigslist (housing actually, as I replaced and upgraded all the filters). Gonna buy a DI unit online sometime this weekend. Any suggestions? Also when I get the unit, do I install it before or after the RO? My guess is after, which probably means just the opposite.

The DI resin is more expensive and designed to pick up what get by the RO membranes.

Sediment > carbon > membrane > DI cartridge.

Maybe that's why its called an RO/DI and not a DI/RO :)

Just busting your balls. lol

its the RO then the DI.. also you may want to get a TDS meter (total disovled waste). This way you can tell your RO filters are still good since you got it used off craigslist.

You have to have a TDS meter, because DIs are consumed and you won't have a clue when if you can't monitor it.

If you bust Captain Bucket's balls too hard be might just RO(roll over) and DI(die)

LOL!

BTW having a RO/DI system is a great investment. Just think of all the gas you will save not having to drive to get water. Plus, all the money you will save by not having to walk through the isles at the LFS filling your arms with items you don't even need.

I use DI (KENT M) and installed after RO but why my TDS level raise up.
I use inline tds meter input probe attached before and output probe after DI, isit normal? if not what can i do?

You mean rise like the output is higher than the input?
Or rise like after a while the output TDS start increasing?
What are your readings?

If your output TDS is higher than the input you may have the TDS meter of the output installed on the waste lne not the product line.

If the output rises over time it is time to replace the DI cartridge once the output TDS starts to rise.
