bought live rock yesterday, and found that there were some zoas on it. they were out of the water for probably about an hour, but were wrapped in soaking wet newspaper. my question is, are they going to survive?

Look like Palythoa to me... They'll be fine... :D I've injected some with Kalkpaste and they still survived... ;)

they certainly can be pretty enough. they are just common and can be kind of invasive as you get pickier.

Yup, common and invasive... Great starter coral... Can be a pain as you get more things to flourish...

Ohhh... I love mine. I did hear that I'll eventually have to learn how to trim it. But that's a welcome problem in my book. It just might be my excuse to get a bigger tank. I LOVE them when I turn on the blue light alone morning and night. They are so pretty.

In fact, I was just sitting here feeding mine and love watching them take it off my stick.
