so I found the info I wanted after a search here through digital aquatics.
When you calibrate 7pH? You get a raw value around 900 or so. When you calibrate 10pH you should see something in the 1500-1600 or so.
I got the raw value of 938 for solution 7.0
I got the raw vaue of 1643 for solution 10.0
I placed the ph probe in the refugium and got a ph of 7.86, I then moved it to the 1st chamber of the sump where the skimmer sits and the ph was 7.92
Does this all sound about normal?
I am going to check the ph with two test kits to see what they say before I go trying to raise the PH.
Wanted to make sure my raw values sound about right and if the ph value it self does.
also where is the best placement for the probe?
I figured chamber 1 vs 3 as 3 is where I usually dose ca/alk (untill I get my ca reactor running)
Thanks,
Keith
Edit: ph is now 7.97 (so basically 8)
normal ?
Should be what, 8.1 -8.3 ?
