I put a Lawnmower in my QT, which is a converted 12gal nano. He immediately started eating the algae, which is purposely kept high for the starfish and snails. He is about 2" long now. Do they only eat algae or will they eat other stuff? Also will it go with a Hawkfish, Scopas Tang, foxface, Small grouper, and 3 clowns?

Mine ONLY eats algae, i supplement nori every once in a while when he picks my tank clean just to keep him healthy. In my experience (with hawkfish and clowns in particular) as long as they aren't competing for food, they leave each other alone. With those two fish in general should be okay, some of the more agressive clowns will mess with him a little. Awesome fish though, very interesting to watch...Good luck!

People seem to have varied experiences with LMB's. Mine eats pellet like crazy, doesn't bother tank mates, and likes to move my frag rocks.

Mine eats everything. He is the pig of the tank. He has the fattest belly, and begs like a dog. Every time I sit near the tank, he perches on a rock and watches me. He isn't mean, just a little aggressive to my mandarins, when they try and get their share of blood worms or mysis.

Stars are left over from when it was a reef. I dont want to put them in the main tank because my fiance loves them.

Falcos can get territorial and attack docile fish much larger than them, especially if they have similar habits and are introduced after them. Blennies spend a lot of time resting on the rock which is an awful lot like hawkfish behavior. I think if your tank is big enough it might work but I wouldn't advise it. If you have a second tank available, you could try it and if it doesn't work out, just move one.
