I always had this orginal reefkeeper and finally it just died. Meaning the whole system stopped functioning. No power coming out of the system, head unit doesn't even light up, nothing. Any ideas? Is there a fuse if so where? Thanks

If you go to our site you can download the manual for the RK1 If you click on the "products" tab and then look for "legacy" on the left side.

Also we no longer carry the RK1 fuses. You can find them at the link below.

I opend the power bar and saw the fuse. Fuse is still good. I tried pluging anything into the bay with out the controller and no power. It seems everything shut off when my girlfriend was vacuuming but the fuse is still okay? Again this is the fuse on the power bar. I opened the head unit looking for a fuse but nothing. Thanks

Is the unit plugged straight into the wall or a plug bar. If its in the wall, try plugging it in somewhere else in the house. If that works it could be your breaker panel in the house.

Tried three diffrent outlets and nothing. Not plug to a bar stright into the outlet. Tried numerous outlets and nothing? Can anyone suggest anything? Is there a fuse in the main head unit. The fuse that I saw was in the power bar and it was still intact. I opened up the head unit since I thought it was there but no fuse to be found. Thanks

Just because the fuse on the main unit looks good doesn't mean it IS good. You need to test it. If you don't have a way at home Radio Shack can tell you if it's good. If the fuse blows at one end you may not ever be able to tell without a test.

There is no fuse on the head unit.

Thanks for verifying that with me. Do you think Radio shack will have a fuse like that just incase? Thanks

They do not. I've looked and the biggest they have is 6 amp in this type. That's why I posted a link for you.

hey DA, thanks for posting that link !! i have done 100 searches for the fuses, but came up empty until i found your link. i just blew my fuse (dumb me plugged all 2x250w MHs into one outlet on the DC8) and luckily had an extra that came with it. i am ordering 5 more right now.
