metal halide question???

i recently saw a 380w metal halide/ compact florressant light fixture ( http://www.aquatraders.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID) and i was wondering for a 29 gallon tank would that be over lighting.? i think 13 wattts perg gallon is way too much, i want to keep some zoas maby some acro later on, but for now some softies such as leathers, ric's shrooms, and such. also can i buy a lesser wattage light bulb and replace the 250w MH with a 150w MH bulb???

I have the same fixture on a 20H and its perfect. But I also have a sump and during the summer keep a fan on the sump to deal with the extra heat. I never saw anything above 82
