Using water from main tank for fry

I was curious to know what is the better way to do water changes in a fry tank:

Is it better to use water from an established reef tank?
Is it better to use natural sea water?
Is it better to make your sea water from salt?

I'll start off using 100% parent tank water for the first 3 or so days, and then SLOWLY mix some mixed saltwater with parent tank water until fry complete metamorphosis. After that, it's mixed saltwater exclusively.
