Hi
I would like to know if this material could be used for sump,
does anyone has any experience using it ?

it is essentially an epoxy product.. I would use it....a little expensive though..

Thanks for quick response.
I know its food safe I just worry about salt water corroding it in some way.
As far as cost goes I have tons of left overs at work so its FREE.

There was a thread at one time from a guy with the same situation, lots of scraps. He built a very nice looking tank if I remember correctly. It's been at least a couple years ago though so not much chance of finding it.

I built a tank out of Avonite, Gibraltar and Formica Solid surface scraps. Actually the back bottom and hood are SS. I had it up and running for a year in my office. I had some algae problems that I couldn't curb. I moved the livestock to my big tank at home and let the rick die off in a pile outside.

The tank was build with an overflow that dumped into a very small sump of sorts that used filters from Whisper 20 sized power filter. I have since drilled the overflow area and installed a bulkhead to add a proper sump and protein skimmer. I plan on starting it back up real soon, I really miss it.
