I always use Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure with good results. It does brown out the treated coral though.
I'm curious about 2LF Coral Clean Rivive. Unfortunately it isn't available in Europe (yet)

The best dip is based upon what you are dipping and what you want to avoid to put in your tank.
Acording to Eric Borneman, Potassium Permanganate will kill both Montipora eating nudibranchs and their eggs. If you have new montipora this would be a great option.
As for Acroporids, you can use any number of products with good results, but higher concentrated iodine solutions tend to be a little rough on the corals.
Lugol's, TMPCC (tropic marine pro coral cure), Coral revive, fluke tabs and interceptor.
I routinely dip use , TMPCC, fluke tabs and interceptor in separate baths prior to placing corals into my system. I had AEFW's and never want to go thru that again.

Denadai the answer is no for TMPCC- they need to be stunned and blown away via shaking and or ph.
If u dipped the affected critter in fluke tabs the FW will get stunned enuff to be blown away whn u shake the coral.
I do use fluke tabs as well as interceptor in all newcomers- hrs (5 or so)
then 15 mins of revive and into the display after careful inspection.
I used to remove the old base and glue into a new one but have gotten lazy.
As of this setup no pest to speak about(besides nudis and took care of that by removing all my montis and tossing them) but have had many tanks with pretty much all kinds of pests.
The best medicine is prevention/ better yet QT but IME not practical for the average hobbyist.

I've tried FW a few times and cant say any have ever made it(RTN a hours to day later.
Altho i the last time i dipped a coral i had a brain fart and used tap water with TM pro mix.Took me about 2 minutes to figure out what i had done. With in the same day the coral turned bone white (bleached)but over the next month turned the most awesome purple and blue. Then one night RTN'ed.Only sps i've lost since beating the worms

fw dip is probably the harshest on SPS.
i use a mix of TMPCC and fluke tabs, maybe some interceptor. its the aefw that worries me not red bugs.
i don't shake or baste, i use a powerhead to blast the coral for 5 minutes

i don't shake or baste, i use a powerhead to blast the coral for 5 minutes, and i make sure to remove the base as a lot of things are in there. (for the maricultured pieces especially)
then i get a flashlight to inspect the coral

How did you get free from AEFW ??
I found a lot in my tank
TMPCC kill them ?
Sorry guys!
I used 2 tabs for 2.5 gallons or 4 tabs/5 gallons for 15-20 minutes. I use a turkey baster to blow the corals off, then I dip in fresh pH adjusted saltwater. You can airate the bucket to normalize the pH.
As for the TMPCC, I dip for 15 minutes.
I have a 10 gallon tank with interceptor that I leave the coral in overnight and then place it into my maindisplay. I have only added four new corals since I have gotten AEFW's.
The coral revive also sounds promising, and from what I understand will kill the montipora eating nudis. The above treatment will not.
I was talking to Sanjay about his AEFW's and his discussions with some experienced reef keepers that have had AEFW's. He was teasing me about tearing up my reef, but he recommends blowing them off and letting the fish eat them. That ultimately is very labor intensive over a long period of time.
Good luck.
Sorry for the delay.

1 min RO dip, temp adjusted only. Kills acros flats and anything else withing 30 seconds. I have also left heads in for 2 and 3 minutes to experiment. At this time frame, they will expel their zooanthallae and will need to be put in low light, high nutrient to make a recovery.
Of course many would find this method to be too extreme and risky (of which it is not) but it works just fine for me. If you feel it is too harsh for you...don't do it.

I think it's more harsh to infect your display with AEFW ;)

I use TMPCC but I've come to find that it's harsh on the coral. A buddy of my uses levamisole with great success. I'll probably be switching over soon.

:D I use levamisole, potassium permagnate, revive, and interceptor; all depending on what species of coral.
