I have an AP 12 running currently and i have the oily residue on the top of my water. I dont have any real issues as of right now but i dont want to run into any later down the road. i modded a sea clone skimmer to fit in the first chamber and run it ever other day. it pulls some really good skim mate. I know its a horrible skimmer but IMO any skimmer is better than no skimmer. I want to cover the inlets on the first chamber but i dont want to drain the water to do so. Is there anyway i can do so with water in the tank without comprimising the little life i have in the tank?
