View Full Version : Halichoeres iridis? (radiant wrasse)

I am thinking of getting on of these guys to add to my reef...I have heard these guy are great for montipora eating nudi's...Anyone keep these guys? are they peaceful or should i expect some conflict with my leopard wrasse?

I have a radiant wrasse with three other leopard wrasses and I have no problems. Very peaceful fish.

peaceful- they do pick at them nudis that is.

An 8 line(hawai) even better predator IME

im staying away from lined wrasses....most get too agressive and i dont wanna chance it. Thanks for the replies think ill be adding one of these guys as soon as i can find a healthy looking one.

Check with Max at www.reefhotspot.com I just got 1 in today from there. I added one to my tank as an insurance policy. Very pretty fish also. Nice and healthy and good price.

Insurance policy...exactly why i am looking for one!

Lol... I hear you. The one I got from Max is at least 2 1/2 " And he's already looking over all my montis. Insurance is a good thing to have in a reef tank also. :)
