Weird thing happened to me last night. I was sleeping and was woken up to my MH being on. I check the controller and it definitely said it was "OFF". So not knowing what to do I just unplugged the thing and it seemed to fix it. I have 2 DC8s daisy chained and the MH plugged into A01 a non relay socket. I travel pretty frequently and this kind of freaked me out. Anyone have any ideas? This is the first time this has happened, this aquacontroller and DC8s are 3 months old.

Do you have a chiller or other high power devices being controlled by the AC3? I have heard of people getting interference induced into the control wires when they are too close to each other especially when large-current devices turn on/off (Curt has a way to test for this).

I have also seen brown-outs cause strange things like you mention but usually the AC will recover and correct the state of the device during the ‘repeat interval’, which by default is 5 minutes.

I have 2 175W MH and 2 39watt t5s, mag 7, vortech, octopus turbine 2000 pump, 2 200w heaters, small eheim for my korralin 1502, and an aqualifter. That is spread among two DC8s. Is that too much? Just seems weird to of happen at night when the lights are already off.

I'd contact neptune and have them walk you through how to test for electrical interference. There are some buttons that get pressed and some numbers that the AC3 reads out but I don't have the information handy.
