i recently got rid of my 125g reef. i'm having the reef itch really badly. anyway i recently ordered a 100g rimless from glasscages. i want to get the best skimmer possible but not willing to spend a grand for one. i would spend around 500 bucks though but would preffer more in the 3-400 range. been lokking at euroreefs and deltecs as well as some bk. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I think that Deltec may be out of your price range unless you can find a good deal on one used. BK is definitely out as they are not really good for people who are trying to keep a budget. Maybe try the DAS EX-2, it should be what you are looking for or a ER RS-180.

i was actually looking at the das ex-2 and the er-180 are these good skimmers. i heard the das is a licensed replica of a deltec

I have a das ex-2 on my 120 (150+ total water volume).

sps, and I feed heavy.

great! skimmer. really quiet, really pulls tons of grossness.

it's been up for two months, and i am super happy with it.

it has skimmed and run great right out of the box.

They are both good skimmers and should be able to take care of your tank. I would buy the DAS 2 if I was choosing in between those two.
