Just a hooray for snails. Been trying to get rid of some lingering green hair across the board, and today I bought two Turbo snails from LFS( One huge one and his smaller brother) and within hours they are starting to decimate the algea!! I definitely underestimated the power of snails!!!

Turbos are good but can be destructive. If your water readings are in control and algea wasnt out of control then welcome to reefing. Controlling a problem with the right tool and without additives is always great to see.
If they cant seem to completly control dont add 5 more. Use another method to control.

They will plow over your rock, knock your corals around etc.

I bounce 2 from problem tank to problem tank. They do a good job however.

thanks for the feedback, I can see the potential for destructiveness, but I have to fight one battle at a time.

Green hair algea can be controlled by flow,CUC and water source. THeres no one way to control any problem.Its a combination of many factors.
