Hey Everybody, my Volitan of a little over a year has recently (past 3 weeks) gone on an eating strike.

He won't eat frozen krill anymore, he just swims up to them until they float away from a current or my trigger comes and gets them. I even went and bought some live minnows to see if I could get him eating again. Same story, swims, stares but doesn't jump at them.

His colors still looks good but he is a little bit thinner than I am used to/comfortable with.

The only thing I have changed in my tank recently is the lighting timer. I went from lighting it about 12 1/2 hours a day to about 9 hours.

Is he just not hungry? It seems to long to not be hungry. Is it possible he swallowed a hermit crab?

I appreciate the input.

kar, I tried that and it seemed to be the same situation as the frozen krill. He just swam up to them (within biting distance) and just waited for them to either swim away or my trigger to eat them.
