Found Pencil Urchin spikes

I just noticed 2 pencil urchin spines, on by the left side wall of the tank, the other by the right side wall

The urchin was moving around at the back of the tank

Wondering if he is actually feeding?
I never target feed him and he usually just crawls all over the live rock all day

Nanotank with like 10 hermits 6 snails 1 damsel 1 nemo clown 1 urchin

Yes, urchins eat algae for the most part and bits of stuff that your fish do not get I'm sure.

I would not be too worried about a couple of pins coming off, as long as it does not become a habit. It happens all the time in the ocean from bumping things and fending off predators.
