Will the ReefKeeper Controller work with Koralia powerheads?

I run mine on an Ocean Pulse, 2 min at a time, I know what they say hard start, I had some prop chatter at first, but now none. I have been running them for a year now, no problem.

I've been running my two korallia 3's on my contoller 5-10 min on/off for almost a year now with no issues so far.

What controller are you using? Reefkeeper2?

Great! I just posted about this on another thread. I just ordered 2 #4's for my 120G and was wondering if there was a controller available. I am told that these pumps must be run continuously to avoid hard starts. What types of controllers are you using and do they stop the pump or just slow it down? Thanks.

Thats cool Hydor is coming out with a controller but the spec sheet on the page says its for 12v low voltage pumps. Which i assume will not controll the current Koralias, they must be going to release a 12v version of the Koralia for this controller

Spoke with Hydor USA today.

Yes, the new controller only works with the new controllable Koralias. The whole new series is on the water and due in by early April. They said the response at the latest trade show was very positive.

The new Hydor skimmers and calcium reactors are in stock already.

Watch for the usual Hydor dealers to have these items in stock soon.

I get a little noise when they start up. I've run 4 #4s on my rk2 for a year with no real issues.
