I'm looking to get a new pump for my sump and I'm very interested in the quite one 3000. I've read some mixed reviews and it sounds like the restart problems are in the past, but it's hard to tell. Are the restart problems in the past? Can this pump handle a check-valve to prevent the back-flow problem (or is that not even required anymore)?

thanks
Jerry

I have a quiet one 5000 and love it. haven't really had any issues with it.

has it restarted without problems after a power outage or unplugging?

I have a 3000 as my return and a 4000 running a squid, both pumps have been running for a little over 4 yrs and never had a problem. They are quiet and trouble free, good pumps for the money IMO

I just setup my tank and am using a 3000. Runs great and it started right back up when i pulled the plug. Runs really quiet to.
