Setting up a new system and was wondering noise wise if it was best to use the eheim 1262 in sump or as an exterior pump. Want the set up to be as quiet as possible.

Thanks,

Use it in sump with rubber suction cups. That will keep it as quite as possible.

what size tank? and i guest even better what size plumbing? the 1262 maybe too much flow if you are concern with noise.

It's a 125 ga tank 72"x18"23". Pump will only be split for 2 returns into the tank. Sump will be a 36"x12"x18" or 30"x 16"x16", still not sure. Aquarium is an AGA RR tank plumbing will be 2x 1" Drains and 2x 3/4" returns. First time running a tank with a sump and I'm not to sure if I should change sizes before or after the bulkheads.
