External glass scratch

Anyone know of a good scratch filler/remover for an external aquarium scratch? 6 in. long, can be felt with finger nail, visually "disappears" when wet.

If the tank is acrylic there are repair kits that can be purchased. If it is glass it can be buffed out if it is quite shallow and you have lots of elbow grease to spare.

If it disappears when it is wet perhaps you could put a touch of vegetable oil in it to get the wet effect?
