My PH is reading 8.8 what do I need to do to lower it? Everything else tests good, but my PH. Thanks for any help.

How are you measuring the pH?

Unless you overdosed limewater, it is a measurement error. pH doesn't otherwise get that high in reef aquaria.

I used a test kit and also used test strips. Tested my top off water and its 7.5 . Should I just do a 20% water change? I don't use limewater.

If this is a true FOWLR then this reading means less but can show early signs of trouble. Do yuo know your Alk reading? How often do you perform water changes and amount? Whats used for water flow?

No, water changes are not the way to solve pH pH issues. The pH readings are in error (unless your alkalinity is incredibly high) and I'd suggest getting a pH meter.

Trust me, I've been through this hundreds of times with similar posts. :)
