I imagine that pic is hard to see, but I noticed this little white ball attached to a piece of live rock yesterday and this morning another on a separate rock. It just looks like a tiny cotton ball, but there is a distinct mouth/orifice at the front.

Filter feeder or sponge or something? I googled 'little white balls' and didn't find what I was looking for ;-)

Thanks,

It would appear to be a small sponge. Pineapple Sponge is one term commonly used.

Sycon sp. sponge AKA q-tip or pineapple sponge. Harmless filter feeder.
