Ok, question? I have a 46g bowfront (18" Deep) and a Current Sunpod 2X150w MH. I have been running them (MH) 8hrs a day from 2PM to 10PM. My water number are: Ph 7.8/8.9 - Ammonia 0ppm - Nitrite 0ppm - Nitrate 0ppm - Ca 420 - Dkh 9 - Salinity 1.025

Problem: I've been getting a light dusting on the substrate of green algae. It's not a huge problem, but I was wondering if I cut down the lighting by about 1hr would that make a difference?

Some SPS and softies in the tank...

Thanks!

I run mine 8 hours....
Bulbs old?
This a recent problem?
Flow issue?
Direct Sunlight (most green algae problems)

Your Ph swing looks very large. Is that difference between day to night?

Ph swing is day/night ----- The tank backs up to a small window and I do sometimes open the blinds in the morning B4 the lights come on....Maybe I'll not do that anymore..haha Flow I have 1 MJ900 and a Tunze 6045 and the return nozzle.
