I am looking at getting a reefflo 200. I am wondering if this would be a good skimmer for a 350 gal system? System break down is this 90 gal display, 150 gal frag system, 70 gal refugium, and 40 gal sump.
I have mainly sps, that is what I am propagating, and some lps. Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas of what a good skimmer for this system would be. I like to look at all my options and see what would be best. Also no size restaints for placement, I have plenty of room.
Thanks All for your input:bum: :bum:

With only a 90 gallon display I'm guessing you arent planning much in the way of fish? I am planning a similar total system volume but 238g display with lots of fish (100g sump/fuge, 30g frag tank) and I went with the 250, but since you are focusing on your frag tank, I would think the 200 would be plenty. Are you guys above suggesting the 250 factoring in the 90g display?
Have you thought about BubbleKing 250 $1769 or 300 for $1,900? Or what about a Deltec AP 702 for $1,851?
If you want to go cheaper, an MSX-250 for around $500
The Bubble king uses half the electricity, which should help pay for the difference in price. Also, reading up on the Reeflo's, I'm a bit concerned about them overflowing during break in or down the road. That alone is worth the cost of an in sump.
Take the above with a grain of salt. I haven't bought any of them, but I am looking to very soon.
Cheers,

Mcliffy-
I based my opinion on total water volume.
Los-
BK 300INT is a good option too.
I was one of the first to get a Reeflo 250. I had a BK 300INT on order and canceled it. I wish I could afford to get both to run them side by side, but I'm poor.
As far as overflowing,
My skimmer has never overflowed. To add to this Reef Specialty makes a safety shutoff container that turns off both pumps in case this were to happen.

Thanks guys,
I am still researching and am looking for ideas.
As far as fish stock goes it will be fairly minimal, but I will have quiet a few wrasess in the frag system.
Thanks
